Virtual Printer - Sending one letter

Use our virtual printer to send a single pre-mail merged recipient

As well as offering our own in house designer tool to allow you to send the best possible direct mail to your customers, we also have a very useful tool called the Virtual Printer. The Virtual Printer allows you to upload a letter that you have already mail merged and we will be able to use it for your Stannp Direct Mail send.

The Virtual Printer is split into two different functionalities. Sending one letter at a time or having a single pdf with multiple letters within and sending them all at once.

For this article we will be talking about the single recipient option. Drag your pdf in or click the browse button to continue.

Once you've uploaded the pdf we will check whether your address fits within the window that we require. This is because we use advanced Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to read this space for your address and convert it into text. This way we can verify whether the address matches the relevant postal database.

If the address is not within this section, do not worry, just click no and you'll be able to manually type in the address details for the single letter. Continuing on, next up we have the final specifications page where you can decide exactly how you want your mail to be sent.

Decide whether you want to print on both sides (Duplex) or print on only one side of the page (Simplex).

Choose the postage class, whether you would like it to go first class or standard.

Include a reference tag so you can better find your information in the reporting section.

Upgrade your mailing with addons! The options you may have available are dependant on your account and some options may not be available. To find out a full list of available options, contact your account manager.

Once you're happy with the settings you can click print & post to send it! This notifies us straight away and the letter will be sent at the next possible opportunity.
